Evias in the Spotlight on Canal 32: Pioneering Electric Vehicle Charging Without Stopping

IN THE NEWS

In a groundbreaking feature by Canal 32, Evias introduced its dynamic electric vehicle charging technology to the region, capturing the attention of key leaders and stakeholders. The coverage, part of our recent demo week at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), highlighted our electric road system, which enables vehicles to charge as they drive. This innovative technology is setting a new benchmark in sustainable transport and has sparked excitement among regional leaders and potential partners.

François Baroin, Mayor of Troyes and President of Troyes Champagne Métropole, spoke to Canal 32 on-site, expressing his vision for incorporating Evias’ technology into Troyes’ transportation ecosystem. Mr. Baroin sees this as a pivotal step toward a greener, more sustainable future, underscoring Troyes’ commitment to environmental innovation and urban advancement.

Our CEO, Olivier Besson, also shared insights during the Canal 32 interview, offering a closer look at the technology. Designed to turn driving time into charging time seamlessly, the system utilizes an electric track that automatically connects to a vehicle collector, enabling efficient and uninterrupted charging for freight and public transport.

Evias is grateful to the partners who supported this technology launch. Notable figures include Vanina Paoli-Gagin, Senator of Aube; Philippe Pichery, President of the Département de l’Aube, and Thomas Keller, Bpifrance; as well as Christophe Collet, Director of UTT. Their encouragement has been invaluable in bringing our vision to life.

Through partnerships and local support, Evias is poised to make a meaningful impact on the transportation landscape, fostering cleaner and more sustainable roads in Troyes and beyond.
